Indonesia Passport FAQs

Can a citizen of Indonesia have more than 1 Passport?
Every citizen of Indonesia only allowed to have 1 passport. Anyone found to have apply for second passport will be subject to penalty of maximum 2 years jail or maximum of Rp.10.000.000 fine.


How much is the passport fee and how long is the process?

The completion time for passport application is no later than 4 (four) days after the interview process.
 

Can I submit my passport application in any of immigration office regardless of my domicile?

Indonesia Passport can be issued by the Head of Immigration Office in accordance with the particulars provided by the applicant without considering evidence of domicile of the applicant listed on the identity card (KTP).

How many Passport Photos required and what is the specific size?

Indonesia Passport required 2 copies of 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch photos with Red color background. Check here for more information about the Indonesia Passport Photo Requirements.


What should I do if pages in the passport finished, passport validity expired, passports lost or stolen?

For passport pages finished, application for renewal of passport can be done at any of Immigration Offices in Indonesia, nearest  Indonesian Embassy or Consulate overseas. The existing passport must be presented during application for new passport.

For passport validity expired, application for renewal of passport can be done at any of Immigration Offices in Indonesia, nearest  Indonesian Embassy or Consulate overseas. The expired passport must be presented during application for new passport.

For passport lost or stolen, application for replacement of new passport can be done at any of Immigration Offices in Indonesia together with a police report. Lost of passport abroad should be reported to the nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate overseas for replacement of passport together with a police report. Application for replacement of lost passport will be sent to Head of Immigration Office for approval.
